Cher looks set to be on a record releasing roll as she’s already teasing the follow-up to ‘Christmas’.
The first-ever holiday album from the pop icon arrives on October 20, with its lead single DJ Play A Christmas Song out now.
Speaking to Billboard, however, she revealed the festive collection isn’t the end of her plans for the near future, revealing: “I have another album to do right after this.”
The All Or Nothing singer last toured in 2020 with the final dates of her ‘Here We Go Again’ shows and, although she has no concerts in the diary just yet, she’s not ruling out future gigs.
“Well, I don’t know,” she admits. “Look, if I do a concert, there’s gonna be a tour behind it. I’m working really hard right now. I’m training, like, unbelievably. So I’m training and singing at the same time, which is always fun… So I’m working on it.”
Among the tracks on ‘Christmas’ are collaborations with artists including Stevie Wonder, Michael Bublé, Cyndi Lauper, Darlene Love and Tyga.
“I never say this about my own records but I’m really proud of this one,” says Cher. “It is one of the most amazing highlights of my career.”
Of Motown legend Stevie’s involvement, she adds: “Every time I hear that harmonica, I’m a teenager again. It’s a personal dream come true for me to record this song with Stevie.”
The full album will arrive on October 20, ahead of a ‘Believe 25th Anniversary (Deluxe Edition)’ release in November.
