Charli XCX looks to have more new music on the way.
The artist has taken the world by storm with her seventh studio album becoming a global phenomenon, thanks to its simple lime green artwork and hedonistic themes.
Things took a political turn when Charli wrote on X that “Kamala IS brat’, after Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris as his successor in the 2024 US presidential race, with Pitchfork saying that ‘Brat’ summer died on July 21, the day of her post.
“While we mourn its loss, Brat Summer’s legacy will live on in white powders on dirty toilet seats, weekend hangovers that last until the following Friday, and of course, being So Julia, a sibling of Brat Summer that survived the worst of its online devastation,” suggested journalist Arielle Gordon.
Sharing screenshots of posts including ones by outlets such as Dazed and ANTIART, she wrote on Instagram: “oh ? see u next week :)”
