Caro has shared another taster of her upcoming solo album with her latest single, ‘The Guy Bangs’.
The fourth cut to be lifted from ‘Returning To Innocence‘, due October 9 via Big Mouse, sees the Dutch superstar fixate on an in-demand lover-to-be, delivering a slick pop hook over rolling beats.
‘No one’s gonna love him like I love him, goddamn / No one can love him like I love him, my friend / Don’t you dare touch him ’cause he’s making mе mad / The guy bangs,’ she sings.
Featuring recent singles ‘Call The Shots’, ‘Greatness’ and ‘I Can’t Win’, the LP is the follow-up to the former Caro Emerald star’s 2023 debut solo outing, ‘Nowhere Near The Sky’ (released as The Jordan), and features 14 songs, including ‘Goddess’ and ‘Worship Me’, both of which have been included in Caro’s live shows over the past few years.
The project is billed as the artist’s “most vulnerable work to date” and “a deeply personal exploration that reflects on womanhood, both how it’s lived and how it’s imagined”, with influences including Lorde, Frank Ocean and Enigma.
