Busted have teamed up with Jonas Brothers on a new version of their classic hit single Year 3000.
The iconic track was released back in 2003 as the UK trio’s second single, after What I Go To School For, and peaked at No. 2 on the charts, remaining on the countdown for 21 weeks.
Celebrating their 20th anniversary, Charlie Simpson, James Bourne and Matt Willis are revisiting their catalogue with a series of ‘2.0’ re-recordings, and they’ve enlisted Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas for their latest track.
The US sibling act previously covered the song in 2006 after finding global fame with their Disney Channel series and appearances in the ‘Camp Rock’ movies.

Marking their latest milestone, the band will also embark on a huge arena tour, kicking off in September and playing across the UK and Ireland through October – with Matt promising it will be their “best ever”.
Speaking exclusively in RETROPOP’s May 2023 cover feature, he says: “We have so many ideas,. We’re in the stage where we’re throwing everything at people and they’re saying, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.’ Then they come back and say, ‘No, no, no, no, no – that’s gonna cost you all of your money. You can’t do that!’
“But at the moment, we’re just coming up with the coolest shit we can think of and if 30 per cent of what we’ve come up with happens, it will be the best show ever.”
