Bruno Mars is reportedly in the final stages of writing and recording the follow-up to his latest solo album, 2016’s ‘24K Magic’.
The US star released his last album six years ago, since which time he’s teamed up with Anderson .Paak on their 2021 collaborative album, ‘An Evening with Silk Sonic’.
Now, he’s returning to his solo career and, according to reports, is planning to relaunch with a brand new LP and a tour in 2024.
Insiders tell The Sun’s Bizarre column: “Bruno has taken some time away to develop a new look and sound following the success of his last few projects.
“He is close to completing the new record and is in early talks with Live Nation to map out a deal which will see him tour the album next year and into 2025.
“Bruno wants it to include the biggest concerts he has ever done and is keen to mount a large-scale multidimensional live show.”
Bruno launched his solo career in 2010 with the hit album ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’, featuring classics like Just The Way You Are, Grenade and Marry You, before which he made a name for himself as an in-demand songwriter, penning hits for Alexandra Burke, Adam Levine, Brandy, and Sugababes, among others.
He’s since released three solo LPs, including ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ (2012), and won a total of 14 Grammys and four BRITs, including Silk Sonic’s recent International Group Of The Year victory, which saw them beat competition from ABBA.
