Boy George and Marilyn have made good with one another after their very public disagreement over the upcoming Culture Club biopic ‘Karma Chameleon’.
The movie is set to document George’s rise to fame as frontman of the iconic ’80s group, which produced hits including Church of the Poison Mind, Do You Really Want to Hurt Me and Time.
And while he and fellow pop star Marilyn were close pals back in the day, the movie appeared to have driven a wedge between the pair, with the Calling Your Name star accusing George of snubbing him from the project.
“They are going to have to tell his story without any references to me or my character,” he tweeted this week. “I’m sure it’ll be fascinating without my inclusion all the same.”

George hit back, writing: “I have zero against the dear thing. Her fight is purely with herself… I have only love for the trout but will I put up with the antics.”
But speculation their long-running friendship was over appears to be premature, with Marilyn confirming in a follow-up post the pair had aired their issues over the phone and “potentially” made peace with one another.
“Just had a lovely 2hr conversation with @BoyGeorge and I think that the film situation is potentially sorted,” he penned. “I must say that I do love it so much when we get on!! He really is an incredible person, after all is said and done.”
The Karma Chameleon hitmaker previously insisted social media was partly to blame for their disagreement, insisting, “So much nuance can get mislaid in online communication.”
The upcoming movie will shoot “in London and around the world,” George previously revealed, while hinting at casting details for the highly-anticipated project in a new social media video.
After revealing Daniel Mays will play his father, the star also hinted Keanu Reeves could make an appearance, as he admitted an actor has yet to be cast as the singer himself.
“There’s only one problem – and it’s quite major… who’s going to play me,” he teased. “We’re looking for a brave young actor from anywhere in the world to take on the role of his life. And It’s going to be brilliant!”
While casting has yet to be confirmed, George has put Harry Styles firmly in the running to play the Culture Club frontman and previously told talkRADIO the star has “been approached or considered”.
