Beyoncé looks set to hit No. 1 on the UK Singles and Albums Charts this week.
Following the release of her latest album ‘Cowboy Carter’, the LP is on track to debut at the top spot, with lead single Texas Hold ‘Em also eyeing a fifth non-consecutive week at No. 1.
Two more ‘Cowboy Carter’ tracks could also impact the Top 10, with Beyoncé’s take on Dolly Parton’s classic Jolene (No. 5) and II Most Wanted (No. 8), a duet with Miley Cyrus, both riding high, according to OfficialCharts.
Meanwhile, if ‘Cowboy Carter’ maintains its position it will become her fifth solo record to reach the summit, following ‘Dangerously In Love’ (2003), ‘4’ (2011), ‘Lemonade’ (2016) and ‘Renaissance’ (2022).
The country-influenced LP arrived last Friday (March 29) and has already proven a massive hit, quickly becoming the most-popular album on Spotify with 76.13 million streams on its first day.
Its success was confirmed by the streamer, which wrote in a post on X: “On Friday, March 29, Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 so far.”
“This is also the first time a country album holds the title this year.”
Figures for the album – which features appearances from Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus, among others – are above those for Beyoncé’s previous album ‘Renaissance’, which debuted with 43.2 million streams.
