Beverley Knight has shared details of a one-off intimate gig in London to celebrate her 50th birthday.
The British soul star – who is currently appearing as Emmeline Pankhurst in the Old Vic’s hip-hop musical ‘SYLVIA’, and on screen every Saturday night as a panel judge in ITV’s talent series ‘Starstruck’ – will take the stage at London’s Lafayette to mark her latest milestone.
“I have completed my 50th year around the sun and I am in the mood to celebrate! I am so grateful to be here, still singing and performing to both music and theatre audiences everywhere,” she says.
“Thank you for the love and support you have shown me. So damn excited about this special show!”
It’s one of a number of projects she’s currently working on, including her first studio album in seven years, which is expected later this year.
Tickets for Beverley’s gig on Thursday, March 23 go on general sale Friday, March 3.
