Bananarama are back to business as they hit the studio with longtime producer Ian Masterson to work on new music.
It’s been two years since the duo released their latest album ‘In Stereo’, scoring their highest UK chart position since 1987.
And there looks to be more on the way, with the pair taking to social media to share snaps from their latest recording session.
“‘I’m a bit toppy Ian’,” the group penned, alongside a snap of Sara and Keren Woodward recording vocals, referencing French & Saunders’ classic parody.
In a post on her own page, Sara added, “Hard at work in the blazing heat,” beneath a selfie from the studio.
While a new release has yet to be confirmed, Keren teased new music “might” be on the way during an Instagram Live stream earlier this year.
When asked if there was “new music on the horizon,” she replied: “We might have more to tell you – if we ever do another one of these…”
‘In Stereo’ – which came following a 10 year album break – charted at No. 29 and spawned the hit radio singles Stuff Like That and Looking For Someone.
In addition to their ‘An Evening With’ Tour, Bananarama followed up the record with their acclaimed memoir Really Saying Something and a re-issue of their 1995 album Ultra Violet.
