Bananarama are hitting up Instagram on Wednesday, January 13th for their first appearance of 2021.
The duo announced the live stream on social media, sharing in a message to fans: “WHAT a week- Happy Friday everyone!
“Next Wed 13th Jan @ 6pm we’re doing another IG LIVE,” wrote the Cruel Summer stars. “We wanted to check in with U all & see how you’re doing + also answer any questions U may have.
“Make sure U tune into the girls personal IG accounts next Wed!
“See you there, Love S&K.”
The girls have taken part in a number of live streams during the pandemic with often hilarious results, as they grapple with technology and struggle to keep up-to-date with the influx of messages – often with a glass of wine in hand.
Despite forcing them off stage, Sara and Keren enjoyed a successful 2020, releasing their acclaimed memoir Really Saying Something and re-issuing their classic 1995 album Ultra Violet on vinyl and digital services.
Although the pair have admitted they “cannot even see [touring] happening” in 2021 – unless a vaccine is widely available – they insist they’ll be back with new music and a celebration of four decades of their career in 2023.
“We’re not going to give anything away because we don’t know that we’re doing anything,” Sara tells Pink News. “We haven’t got that far.
“For the 40th anniversary there’ll be something happening there.”
