Alison Goldfrapp has unveiled the dreamy video vignette for her new single, In Electric Blue.
Taken from her recently released debut solo album, ‘The Love Invention’, the track is a yearning synth-pop confection that rises to an irresistible chorus.
It’s been brought to vivid life through visual collaborator Mat Maitland’s kaleidoscopic and multi-layered lens, offering the last piece of the puzzle in a series of visuals encompassing previous releases Love Invention, NeverStop and So Hard So Hot.
Of the song, Alison says: “It makes me think of shiny cars, and that rush of energy and elation you have as a teenager.”

In support of her new album – which debuted in the UK Top 10 upon its release – Alison will embark on a tour of the UK in February 2024.
Launching in Manchester on February 24 before hitting Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol, the tour will wrap on March 1 with a final stop in London.
In a video announcement, Alison also confirmed plans were in the works to take the shows “across the pond”, promising more details soon.
In a review of the album, RETROPOP called ‘The Love Invention’ “a bloody good pop record that has everything great pop music should: infectious beats, undeniable hooks, great lyrics and, at the forefront of it all, one of British pop’s brightest and most enduring stars.”
