Alice D has released Passion as the lead track from her forthcoming EP.
The single sees the rising singer-songwriter expand upon her contemporary pop, soul and R&B sound, infusing her love of Afro-Latin music into her latest release.
“I’ve loved those sounds for such a long time, and to have the freedom to experiment then finally find a way of incorporating them into my own work has really cemented my sound,” says Alice.
“I’m so excited to finally release Passion.”
Alongside the single, Alice has unveiled a new music video, inspired by Bachata Sensual – a dance style used to express romantic feelings in a way that says more than mere words can.
She adds: “I had the idea of creating a video at sunset, with the use of haze and the warm lighting we were able to replicate a hot summer’s evening.
“Having cutaways of the dancers and close-ups of movement heightened this sense of a passionate love affair. Together with the isolated shots of myself, this exaggerated this sense of longing for that person.”
In addition to her own music, Alice has contributed to a number of tracks for Bananarama’s forthcoming album ‘Masquerade’, including the taster track Favourite.
