Alexandra Burke will release her new album in 2025.
The ‘X Factor’ winner and Bad Boys hitmaker, who released her most-recent LP ‘The Truth Is’ in 2018, has a brand new 14-song collection ready to drop next year.
“I was listening to the album before I came on. There’s 14 tracks. I actually got up and I was dancing to it,” she revealed during and appearance on ‘This Morning’, before adding of its release date: “Next year, I promise, I promise, next year, it’s gonna happen. I’m so excited to release music again.
“The way I feel about music is the same way I feel about acting.”
The project, she says, has been a “journey” that began before she met fiancé Darren Randolph, with whom she shared two kids, and will leave fans feeling “uplifted” with its “feel-good” songs.
“I’m on a whole new journey. With this album, I started before [having] kids,” she continues. “So there’s songs in there that were in there that have been written before I even met Darren, and then that journey with meeting Darren, having two children, all of that blossoms in there as well.
“I want this album to uplift people, to make people feel positive and feel loved, and feel like they’re enough.”
She added: “It’s about keeping people encouraged in life. We all need encouragement. We all need a bit of a push and I’m hoping that this album can provide it. If it’s just one tune, great but if it’s the whole album, even better.
“I just want people to feel good when they listen to it. That’s all that matters right now in life, right? You’ve got to feel good!”
