ABBA’s ‘Voyage’ has smashed the record for the UK’s fastest-selling album in four years.
Last week, Ed Sheeran claimed the title with his fourth album ‘=’ but, days later, the Swedish supergroup took the title with their comeback record.
In its opening weekend, the group sold a staggering 118,000 copies of ‘Voyage’ and, by Tuesday, it surpassed 181,712 copies, according to The Sun.
It’s pretty much guaranteed to hit No. 1 on Friday – earlier this week, Official Charts Company confirmed the album was outselling the entire UK Top 40 combined.
In a review of the album, Retro Pop called ‘Voyage’ “a fitting closing chapter in the tale of Sweden’s best-loved musical export”.
‘Voyage’ is available on CD, vinyl and cassette.
