ABBA’s new album ‘Voyage’ looks certain to debut at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart this week.
The group returned on Friday with their first album in 40 years and it shifted a staggering 118,000 copies in its opening weekend.
According to the Official Charts Company, the LP is outselling the rest of the UK Top 40 combined and is set to knock Ed Sheeran’s latest effort ‘=’ down to No. 2.
It is already the fastest-selling physical release and biggest first-week pure sales (physical and digital) of 2021 so far.
What’s more, if they surpass his opening week sales of 139,000 copies, ‘Voyage’ will earn the biggest opening week for an album in over four years.
