Melanie C’s new album will be environmentally friendly as the star has pledged to make the record a plastic-free release.
The hitmaker is releasing her eighth, self-titled effort in October and, in a post on Twitter, she explained the new album will be shipped in “ocean friendly, biodegradable, and 100% recyclable” packaging.
“Single use plastics is causing catastrophic damage to our environment, and we are switching to plastic free in all packaging for my new album ‘Melanie C’,” the Spice Girls star explained.

The new album is preceded by the singles Who I Am, Blame It on Me and In and Out of Love, and is slated for an October 2nd release. Melanie previously said she hopes the record will inspire fans to “embrace all aspects of themselves”.
She’s also set to embark on a European Tour in Spring 2021, with the trek set to hit the UK in May. Tickets are available here and there’ll also be a virtual concert series.
