Duran Duran will release physical editions of their ‘Free To Love: Hot Star Remixes’ album later this month.
The group’s reimagining of their euphoric cyber-funk anthem, featuring legendary collaborator Nile Rodgers, through the lens of a select group of contemporary dance music heavyweights marks the first remix album the band have ever made available on vinyl and CD.
Available across CD, standard and special edition vinyl on October 30 via Tape Modern, the CD versions brings together every remix digitally released to date – courtesy of Trixie Mattel, Harrison, BastienkHz, Horse Meat Disco, ALISSIA, Biff Chitlins and DJ White Shadow – the original single, and two brand-new reworkings from the band: ‘Love Overture’ and ‘Across the Galaxy’.
Meanwhile, for vinyl collectors the 12″ LP packages all 10 original high-energy remixes, alongside the band’s own exclusive versions, while the special edition pairs the standard vinyl with a bonus 7″, featuring the original single and a third exclusive reworking, ‘Spaghetti Exit’.
Hidden at random among the special edition vinyls is one exclusive Gold ticket, with one lucky fan winning Duran Duran’s complete discography on vinyl.
‘Free To Love: Hot Star Remixes’ is out October 30 and available to pre-order from Amazon, HMV, Rough Trade, Townsend and more, with the special edition vinyl available on Duran Duran’s Online Store. Listen to ‘Ghost’ below.
