Hear’Say have sent fans into a frenzy with a new snap of the band back together in 2026 – but one original member is notably absent from the line-up.
The group formed on TV talent show ‘Popstars’ in 2001 and released two albums, featuring the chart-topping singles ‘Pure and Simple’ and ‘The Way to Your Love, before before splitting one year later.
On October 1, 24 years to the day since they announced their split, Hear’Say reemerged with a series of newly-established social media pages, on which they shared a screen-recording of a WhatsApp conversation teasing a reunion.
While the five original members – Noel Sullivan, Suzanne Shaw, Kym Marsh, Myleene Klass and Danny Foster – were a part of the chat, Klass wasn’t involved in the conversation, raising questions among followers as to whether or not she’ll partake in the group’s comeback.
Now, after Hear’Say shared a photo of Sullivan, Shaw, Marsh and Foster together, Klass has opened up on her decision to sit out the reunion during an appearance on ‘Loose Women’.
“Well, they were really sweet, and they did include me in the discussions. But it’s not something I can commit to at the moment. I just really can’t,” she explained. “I know that they’re still figuring out a lot of the moving parts of it, and until they do that, you know, there’s nothing sort of necessary set in stone. But for me, I’m just super busy. I’m committed to you guys.”
Insisting she is still on good terms with her old bandmates, Klass added: “I love the guys dearly. It was an incredibly important time in my life. It taught me so much. You know, epic songs like that and moments like that.”
And while she hasn’t completely ruled out returning to Hear’Say one day, she elaborated: “I would say never say never about anything because, as I said earlier to you guys, you know, I don’t really agree on revisiting the past.
“Like I said before, until there’s things set in stone, it’s very difficult to commit to something that’s so up in the air. And I think they’re just figuring things out as well. But I really do appreciate that they came and included me.”
