Caro has offered up another preview of her forthcoming album ‘Returning To Innocence‘ in the form of new track ‘Already Lost’.
Serving as the opening cut on the record, due October 9 via Big Mouse, it sees the former Caro Emerald star stepping out of the shadows of her previous successes and entering a new era of independence.
‘Naked and free in the eye of the storm / Tell me I’ll be in control / Can you hear the silence? / The truth lies in the quiet / ‘Cause I’ve already lost,’ she sings.

Featuring recent singles ‘The Guy Bangs’, ‘Call The Shots’, ‘Greatness’ and ‘I Can’t Win’, the LP is the follow-up to her 2023 debut solo outing, ‘Nowhere Near The Sky’ (released as The Jordan), and features 14 songs, including ‘Goddess’ and ‘Worship Me’, both of which have been included in Caro’s live shows over the past few years.
The project is billed as the artist’s “most vulnerable work to date” and “a deeply personal exploration that reflects on womanhood, both how it’s lived and how it’s imagined”, with influences including Lorde, Frank Ocean and Enigma.
