This week could see Jane McDonald launch back into the Top 5 of the UK Albums Chart for the first time in almost three decades.
The singer’s latest album ‘Living The Dream‘ is on track to debut at No. 5 on the countdown, beating the No. 6 peaks of 2000’s ‘Inspiration’ and 2018’s ‘Cruising With Jane McDonald’ to become her highest-charting LP since her chart-topping 1998 self-titled debut.
“I’ve just heard the news… Living The Dream is currently sitting at Number 5 in the @officialcharts midweek update,” McDonald shared in a post on social media upon learning the news. I honestly can’t believe it, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for all your support.
“Let’s keep it going! If you haven’t already, keep streaming, downloading, buying… you know what to do!”
‘Living The Dream’ features 13 tracks recorded at the renowned Blackbird Studios in Nashville, including nine original tracks co-written by the artist, plus covers of classics including ‘Try A Little Kindness’, ‘Heartache Tonight’, ‘I Saw The Light’ and ‘To Know Him Is To Love Him’.
In support of the record, a UK tour throughout August and September will see the performer take to the stage across a mix of theatres and arenas.
‘Living The Dream’ is available from Amazon, HMV, Rough Trade, Townsend and more. Tickets for the ‘Living The Dream’ tour are available here. The full list of dates is below.
