Twenty-three years since they released their debut album ‘Everything’s Eventual’, Appleton are back with their brand new single ‘Falling Into You’.
Arriving on the back of a vinyl reissue of the aforementioned LP – which spawned the UK Top 10 hits ‘Fantasy’ and ‘Don’t Worry’ – the breezy track reunites former All Saints stars Natalie and Nicole Appleton with original producer Gareth Young.
On the experience of returning to the studio as a duo for the first time in over two decades, Nicole tells Grazia: “We didn’t even know we were doing a single…
“But it was really easy and really fun. I don’t know how else to describe it.”
“When we walked into [the studio] it was like walking into a time warp,” adds Natalie. “It was like we just walked out 20 years ago, and we were walking back in. It’s easy.”
The pair premiered the song on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show with Scott Mills on Thursday (January 15) morning. They’ll perform with the BBC Concert Orchestra as part of Radio 2’s Piano Room Month on February 19.
