Miley Cyrus has recorded a new song for the soundtrack to the upcoming movie ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’.
The Flowers hitmaker, who earlier this year released her ninth studio album, ‘Something Beautiful’, has contributed Dream As One to the project, with the original single inspired by the loss of her home in the Woolsey Fire in California back in 2018.
Announcing her involvement in the third instalment of James Cameron’s sci-fi film series, she penned on Instagram: “Honoured to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song I’ve written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt.
“Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me.”
The song will feature in the end credits of the movie, which is to be released in December.
Miley went on to thank the Titanic director for allowing her to contribute to the film, adding: “Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine.
“The film’s themes of unity, healing, and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to even be a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true.”
