The Go-Go’s were joined on stage by Billie Joe Armstrong for a performance of their classic hit, Head Over Heels, at Coachella.
Before his headline performance with Green Day at the festival on Saturday, April 12, the hitmaker teamed up with his fellow rock legends for a rendition of their 1984 classic.
The surprise appearance stunned crowds at the Outdoor Theatre stage, mid-way through Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey, Kathy Valentine and Gina Schock’s set.
During the performance, he announced: “Coachella! Holy shit, I’m playing with The Go-Go’s!” Afterwards, on Green Day’s Instagram, he wrote: “Head over heels after playing with @officialgogos at @coachella.”
Featuring hits such as We Got The Beat, Vacation and Our Lips Are Sealed, it marked The Go-Go’s first major show together since 2018, following a warm-up in Hollywood on April 9.
