News of Oasis‘ reunion tour helped Oasis become the UK’s searched for music act of 2024, Google has revealed.
The Britpop icons’ global run – set to launch next summer – proved such a hit that “how to get Oasis tickets” was the search engine’s second top trending “how to” question of the past 12 months, behind “how to vote in the UK”.
Behind the band in the music ranking is Sabrina Carpenter, who earned a trio of UK chart toppers this year with Espresso, Please Please Please and Taste, with One Direction coming in third, following the death of Liam Payne in October.
Also on the list is RAYE, who enjoyed record-breaking success at the BRIT Awards this year, along with Coldplay, Justin Timberlake and Cyndi Lauper, who is in the midst of her farewell tour.
