Gwen Stefani tries to escape the past on her latest single Swallow My Tears.
The second single from her forthcoming fifth solo album ‘Bouquet’, following lead release Somebody Else’s, is once again produced by Scott Hendricks and sees the star navigating the impact of a past relationship on her current one.
On the recording process, Gwen shared: “I had this fantasy to go to Oklahoma and record with these amazing songwriters, and we made it happen.”
The follow-up to the holiday-themed ‘You Make It Feel Like Christmas’ (2017) also features the Blake Shelton collaboration Purple Irises. Recent singles True Babe, Slow Clap and Let Me Reintroduce Myself are absent from the set.
It comes as Gwen’s debut solo album ‘Love. Angel. Music. Baby.’ (2004) turns 20 this year.
