Olly Alexander has shared details of his debut solo album ‘Polari’.
The new LP from the Years & Years frontman is his first as a solo artist and was created alongside Danny L Harle, who has worked with artists including Charli XCX and Dua Lipa.

Drawing from the earliest innovators in electro-pop and charting desire, voyeurism and fate, its title is a term coined in the 1600s by stigmatised groups, considered as the lost language of gay men and first introduced to the performer through his work on ‘It’s A Sin’.
Translating as “to talk”, the term Polari guided the creation of the LP, which saw Alexander returning to themes of sexuality, self and belonging throughout.
In addition to his Eurovision entry Dizzy, the record also features new single Cupid’s Bow, which is out now.
‘Polari’ is released on February 7 and is available to pre-order from Amazon, HMV, Rough Trade, Townsend and more. Listen to Cupid’s Bow below.
