Lauryn Hill and The Fugees have axed their US ‘Miseducation Anniversary Tour’.
Days ahead of their planned opening on Friday (August 9) in Tampa, Florida, dates have been taken down from Live Nation and Ticketmaster with fans receiving emails regarding the cancellation.
The emails read: “Unfortunately, the Event Organiser has had to cancel your event.” A further explanation regarding the reason behind the cancellation has yet to be made.
The tour – celebrating her 1998 solo album ‘The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill’ and the group’s 1996 LP ‘The Score’ – is due to hit the UK and Europe in the Autumn, launching in Manchester on October 12 and playing through October 22 in Amsterdam. It’s unknown whether the run will go ahead.
Hill postponed most of the dates on her tour last year after battling “serious vocal strain”.
