Cher is working on a new album produced by her boyfriend Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards.
The Strong Enough hitmaker, who returned to the charts last year with her first-ever holiday album, ‘Christmas’, featuring the UK Top 20 hit, DJ Play A Christmas Song, revealed details of her new project at the amfAR Gala at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
“[Alexander] and I are gonna start a new album,” she revealed in a red carpet interview. “We haven’t started yet; he’s going to produce it.”
Edwards co-produced the song Drop Top Sleigh Ride on Cher’s aforementioned 27th album and last year the singer revealed she already had a bunch of tracks from the musician.
“Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I’m pretty excited about that,” she told E! News “He’s a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I’m happy about that. I think like any artist, when you’ve got something good, you’re excited.”
The news comes ahead of vinyl reissues and digital deluxe releases of Cher’s classic albums ‘Living Proof’ (2001) and ‘Closer To The Truth’ (2013).
