Five acts are out of the running for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 prize after Tuesday (May 7) night’s first Semi-Final.
Taking place live at the Malmö Arena in Sweden, the show saw 15 acts compete for a place in Saturday’s Grand Final, with 10 making it through to the next stage of the competition.
Among the successful acts was Croatia’s Baby Lasagna and Finland’s Windows95Man – both of whom are strong contenders – along with Ireland’s Bambie Thug, marking the country’s first qualifier in six years.
However, it was bad news for Australia as Electric Fields failed to qualify, along with entries from Moldova (Natalia Barbu) and Iceland (Hera Björk).
