The self-titled offering from the Oasis and Stone Roses stars is leading the pack in the latest midweek update.
If it maintains the position, it will become Liam’s sixth chart-topper under his own name and John’s first.
With their respective groups, Liam achieved eight UK No. 1 LPs and John has enjoyed four Top 10s.
Iron Maiden lead singer Bruce Dickinson is at No. 2 with his seventh solo album, ‘The Mandrake Project’, while Kaiser Chiefs’ ‘Kaiser Chiefs’ Easy Eighth Album’ is sitting at No. 3.
