Beyoncé announced part two of her ‘Renaissance’ trilogy during Sunday’s (February 11) Super Bowl.
The US superstar appeared at the end of the ad for communications giant Verizon to tease the release, saying: “Okay, they ready. Drop the new music.”
Immediately after the advert aired, Beyoncé released two new songs – Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages – across digital platforms.
Both are set to feature on her new album, ‘Act II’, which is expected to lean into the country genre.
The first instalment of Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ project was released in July 2022 with the LP winning her a record-breaking 32nd Grammy.
The following year, she embarked on the ‘Renaissance World Tour’, which was later released as a concert movie in cinemas worldwide.
