Bright Light Bright Light will release his fifth studio album, ‘Enjoy Youth’, on May 17.
The LP is the follow-up to the musician’s 2020 release, ‘Fun City’, and is preceded by the lead single You Want My…, out now.
On the song, produced by Ian Masterson, the singer – real name Rod Thomas – says: “You Want My… is about celebrating – rather than lamenting – the end of a relationship.
“It’s the point where a person who has been played around with says ENOUGH and takes control, draws a line and refuses to keep giving in to a selfish lover: a state of empowerment that I wish I had found more than a few times in my 20s in London while enjoying youth!”
‘Enjoy Youth’ features collaborations with Ultra Naté and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Mykal Kilgore, and will arrive just before Bright Light Bright Light’s first ever performance at London’s Mighty Hoopla festival on June 2.
