Kylie Minogue’s debut album is on track to return to the UK Top 5.
In the midweek look at Friday’s (December 1) Albums Chart, 1988’s ‘Kylie’ is tracking at No. 3 thanks to a pair of vinyl reissues.
If it holds on, it will mark the LP’s highest re-entry since its initial release.
The album – featuring the singles I Should Be So Lucky, Got To Be Certain, The Loco-Motion and Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi – peaked at No. 1 for six non-consecutive weeks when it first arrived 35 years ago.
Celebrating the new editions, Kylie said: “Thank you for 35 years of LOVE!! This brings back SO many memories!”
The release follows the November launch of Kylie’s first-ever Las Vegas residency, which comes on the back of her 16th album, ‘Tension’, featuring the hit single Padam Padam.
