Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance World Tour’ has been named the highest-grossing tour by a female artist of all time, overtaking the record previously held by Madonna.
According to new figures, the former Destiny’s Child star has so far made £346 million from the jaunt, with nine of her planned 56 dates still to go.
Having played another sell-out show at the SoFi Stadium in California on Friday night, she smashed the record of £324 million held by Madonna’s ‘Sticky & Sweet Tour’, which ran from 2008 to 2009.
The shows in Europe and North America were announced in February in support of her seventh studio album, ‘Renaissance’, and launched in Stockholm in May.
Throughout May and June, five dates at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London made £33 million, with fans crashing the Ticketmaster site due to overwhelming demand.
In the Top 5 of all time, Madonna lands a second placement at No. 4 with 2012’s ‘MDNA Tour’, which made £241 million, just behind P!nk’s 2018-2019 ‘Beautiful Trauma World Tour’ at three with £313 million.
But it’s still all to play for, with Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ already in fifth place with £237 million and a run of European dates extended into 2024.
