Erasure’s official music video for their latest single Nerves of Steel is a drag extravaganza!
The duo released the tune as the second single from forthcoming album The Neon on Tuesday, along with a video featuring stars including Detox, Manila Luzon, Amanda Lepore, Candis Cayne and more.
In the visual, the performers, several of whom have appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race show off their glam looks in front of video screens as they work it for the camera.
“This is my favourite track from the album,” singer Andy Bell said. “I am truly honoured that all our LGBTQIA+ friends were so creative during lockdown and helped us with this joyful video. Thanks for creating such a lovely piece of art!”
Manila Luzon said: “Nerves of Steel evokes the butterfly feelings I remember when first falling in love and nothing else in the world mattered — pure excitement and electricity.”
“Erasure has been an integral part of my queer soundtrack from early on and it was a tremendous honor to be included in their new work,” added Detox.
Nerves of Steel follows lead single, Hey Now (Think I Got A Feeling), which premiered back in June, and album track Shot A Satellite, which dropped last month, as the third track to be released from The Neon.
Andy described the new album as a “fresh start” during a recent interview – check out highlights from the chat here.
