Mel B has revealed the Spice Girls have a new project in the works, details of which will be revealed “really soon”.
The group – starring Mel, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie C – last reunited in 2019 for their ‘Spice World Tour’, without founding member Victoria Beckham.
In the years since, they’ve expressed an interest in returning to the stage and during an appearance on ‘The View’, Mel hinted something new is coming from the band.
“I’m always saying ‘It’s gonna happen,’ but because Covid happened everything got put on the backburner,” she shared. “All five of us are speaking and we’re going to be announcing something really soon.”
Despite calls to spill the details, Mel insisted she “can’t say anything right now.”
One big rumour circling about the Spice Girls has been a rumoured performance during the Glastonbury Legends slot this year, but Melanie C recently insisted that won’t be happening.
However, she did suggest something was in the works, revealing: “It’s the question I hate the most, because the answer is as disappointing to me as it is to Spice Girls fans.
“We would love to do Glasto. It just doesn’t fit with the current plan with the girls.”
