Gorillaz performed their new Tame Impala and Bootie Brown collaboration New Gold during their headline slot at All Points East.
The group played the event at Victoria Park, east London on Friday, August 19, as they launched the second part of their 2022 European tour.
Following a day of support slots from IDLES, Turnstile, Yves Tumor, Self Esteem, Femi Kuti, Obongjayar, NewDad, Remi Wolf, Gabriels, Ibeyi, Nia Archives and Willow Kayne, they introduced a host of special guests during their epic set.
Among the guest stars were De La Soul, Happy Mondays‘ Shaun Ryder and Rowetta, Popcaan, Moonchild Sanelly and Mos Def, along with Tame Impala and Bootie Brown.
“It’s kind of a mad song, to be honest with you,” frontman Damon Albarn told the crowd (via NME).
The track is available to pre-save on Gorillaz’ official website.
