A new documentary series is set to go behind the scenes of the life and career of the Spice Girls. 

According to The Sun’s Bizarre column, Emma Bunton, Melanie C, Geri Horner, Mel B and even Victoria Beckham will all feature in the show, which is being produced by the team behind Michael Jordan docuseries ‘The Last Dance’. 

Speaking during an interview in Australia, Mel B said: “The director and the whole concept of how [‘The Last Dance’] was shot and filmed is really, really, really good. So we’ll be doing our own version with them.”

It’s set to feature never-before-heard stories from the band’s 25+ year career, with Mel offering a taster of what’s to come.

“The rap in the Wannabe video, I actually wrote on the toilet while the other girls were doing the vocals,” she revealed. 

“My kids go, ‘Mummy, your music has come full circle’, and I’m thinking, ‘Ooh they’re going to compliment me’. Then I get told, ‘It’s come full circle because now you’re just vintage’. Old but good.”

It comes as the Spice Girls prepare to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their second album ‘Spiceworld’ later this year. 

The classic record arrived one year after the band’s debut LP ‘Spice’ and saw the group’s success continue with hits such as Spice Up Your Life, Too Much, Stop, and Viva Forever. 

In a social media post marking the anniversary of their first hit Wannabe with a new 360 lyric video, the group looked to the future ahead of the ‘Spiceworld’ milestone this November.

Sharing a graphic on their official website and social media pages, featuring a reworking their 1997 globe artwork with the words “SPICEWORLD 25,” they hinted at what’s to come.

Further details have yet to be confirmed, however the ‘Spice’ celebrations saw the five-piece release an expanded deluxe edition of the LP, featuring demos, alternate mixes, and previously-unreleased track Feed My Love, across a variety of formats.
