Rising star Holiday Sidewinder can’t believe she’s on tour with Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
The singer-songwriter is currently touring the UK with Sophie’s ‘Kitchen Disco’, inspired by her iconic Instagram Live series.
Speaking in the April 2022 edition of Retro Pop, Holiday opens up about landing the gig and confesses she can’t quite believe her luck – because she used to dance to Sophie’s hits in her living room.
Speaking about her classic single Murder on the Dancefloor, Holiday admits: “I would make up dances to it in the living room, watching the video on TV every weekend.
“It holds a special place in my little girl heart, so this is really a dream come true for me.”
On what fans can expect from her performances, she teases: “I have to have a very simple set-up for these shows, so I’ll be a one-lady band, which means I’m playing guitar and percussion live for the first time in years!
“So much fun learning to shred again. I’m creating my own little island resort on stage. People can expect me to take them on a little vacation.”
