Shania Twain is a “big fan” of Harry Styles and would love to collaborate on new music one day.
The country-pop icon revealed she’s “texting friends” with the One Direction star on the latest episode of her Home Now Radio on Apple Music Hits show, out now.
She beamed: “I love to sing-along with Harry Styles. That is such a cool lyric. ‘I Adore You’. Harry and I are texting friends. Yes, I’m bragging.
“I’m really a big fan of Harry Styles, and he’s apparently a fan of mine as well. He likes to sing You’re Still The One, and he performs it sometimes in his show, his live show, which is really cool and a huge compliment. So, thank you Harry.”
The That Don’t Impress Me Much singer added: “You and I should definitely do a duet together. We could do a version of one of your songs. I love your music. We could do a version of one of my songs, or we could just write a song from scratch and go from there.”
And Shania doesn’t just want to sing with Harry – she’s also issued an invitation for the Adore You star to explore her wardrobe.
“One thing that I think is really cool that we share is we like to wear leopard print,” she smiled. “You look good in it. Leopard print is a Shania Twain signature print, but Harry Styles can borrow it, of course, because he’s so cute and talented.
“So yeah, you’ve got my permission. Go ahead. Wear it. Just don’t wear it out.”
Meanwhile, Shania recently confirmed new music is coming this year, five years after she returned with her long-awaited fifth studio album ‘Now’.
Sharing an infographic detailing her US chart success on social media, the Come on Over hitmaker penned: “In case I needed reminding ahead of releasing new music this year.”
Shania previously teased she’s written “a mountain of songs” during lockdown.
Admitting she has “enough music for three albums,” the Up! star previously shared: “I’ve got a mountain of songs now!
“You know, Covid has lasted so much longer than any of us expected, so I have enough music for three albums now.”
