ABBA’s comeback album ‘Voyage’ has been certified platinum one month after its release.
The Swedish supergroup returned with their first album in 40 years on November 5, with the LP going on to achieve international sales in excess of one million copies in its first week.
To date, ‘Voyage’ has amassed more than 275 million combined streams and the latest achievement is another jewel in the band’s crown.
Of the record’s early success, ABBA said: “We are so happy that our fans seem to have enjoyed our new album as much as we enjoyed making it!
“We are absolutely over the moon to have an album at the top of the charts again.”
In a review of the album, Retro Pop called ‘Voyage’ “a fitting closing chapter in the tale of Sweden’s best-loved musical export”.
‘Voyage’ is available on CD, vinyl and cassette.
