Saint Etienne have released their 2021 holiday track Her Winter Coat. 

The group’s latest EP features three new songs, including its lead single, which samples East 17’s Stay Another Day. 

Also on the CD are Lillehammer and A Kiss Like This, along with an edit of Her Winter Coat. 

Alongside the release, Saint Etienne will drop two flexi discs, featuring Her Winter Coat (green) and A Kiss Like This (red). 

The physical editions are out December 10 and all proceeds from the release will be donated to The Trussell Trust.

Saint Etienne released their 10th album ‘I’ve Been Trying to Tell You’ earlier this year and, speaking to Retro Pop, Pete Wiggs revealed the trio plans to hit the studio again soon with a new set of tracks. 

“I think we’ll carry on and resume when we can,” he added. “It’s a totally different sound, so we need to regroup, as it were, and hopefully there’ll be another album out next year.” 

He teased: “And we’ve also got a new Christmas song coming out this year as well – if we can clear the samples.”

In a review of the album, Retro Pop called ‘I’ve Been Trying To Tell You’ “an album to be played in full, front to back, with each experience unique, individual and deeply personal.”

‘I’ve Been Trying To Tell You’ is available on CD, vinyl and cassette.
