Steps will continue their ‘What The Future Holds’ Tour as a four-piece after Faye Tozer tested positive for Covid-19.
The group confirmed in a social media statement that Faye “tested positive for Covid-19 this morning which means she is isolating and will be missing tonight’s show in Leeds.”
“We fully intend to carry on with the upcoming ‘What The Future Holds’ arena shows as scheduled,” insisted the group, which has “a daily Covid testing regime in place”.
“The remainder for the band continue to test negative and we will continue to monitor both ourselves and our full crew on a daily basis,” they added.
Signing out the post, Steps promised they’ll be “giving 200% to put on the biggest and best show we possibly can”.
In her own statement, Faye added: “I am baffled and gutted after being so tight on our preventative measures. Thankful for our daily testing to have been able to recognise it and so the show can still go on.
“Please give the guys the biggest love as they continue to smash the shows and I hope to be back soon x.”
The unfortunate news comes after Steps released their latest single A Hundred Years of Winter from their latest album ‘What The Future Holds Pt. 2’ this week.
In a review of the album, Retro Pop said ‘What The Future Holds Pt. 2’ is packed with “wall-to-wall pop precision” and “paves the way for the band’s 25th anniversary celebrations in 2022”.
