Matt Goss has released Saved as the third single from his new album ‘The Beautiful Unknown’.
The track follows Somewhere to Fall and Better With You from the record, which sees the Bros singer return to his pop roots.
Alongside the new track, which deals with infidelity in a relationship, is a new visual directed by Matt himself.
“I had a lot of fun directing this, and wanted to create a little discomfort, but also a lot of hope,” he says of the clip.
“Hope for the profound love that so often comes after the intensity of betrayal.”
Matt’s new record began life six months into the pandemic, when the singer was compelled to rediscover his first love of songwriting.
The title for the record came before many of its tracks, with Matt explaining: “We have been conditioned to fear tomorrow, to fear next week, to be fearful of next year certainly.
“Because there is this unknown energy around all of us – no time more than now. And I’ve been through the ringer during Covid, betrayed by some people, uplifted by others.
“So, ‘The Beautiful Unknown’ is a request to people to come along with this philosophy that tomorrow is going to be a good day and a good place.”
‘The Beautiful Unknown’, due February 4, is available to pre-order on CD (including signed editions) and vinyl.
