Rising electronic pop star Robert O’Connor is back with his new single Been & Gone.
The breakup anthem sees the singer collaborate with producer Gareth Shortland for a Scandipop-inspired sad banger.
“My music is celebratory of my influences, that’s what brings me joy, to make something that I enjoy listening to myself, that feels quintessentially me”, Robert explains.
What’s more, he wrote the song in “10 minutes flat” on a coffee break while working his day job, which helps fund his music.
Robert adds:” I have a normal life, I have day jobs, and that lends itself well to songwriting. I write songs that everyday people relate to, and no matter the genre, there is always a real story at the core – this one is about meeting someone who makes you question everything.”
Been & Gone follows Robert’s recent single, the ‘90s-inspired Save You, which dropped earlier this year.
