“Me and the lads missed each other throughout the lockdown and didn’t see each other for well over a year so it is going to be fantastic to get back on the road together again next year!

“We’ll be making up for lost time and will be giving our fans the best shows of our lives. After the terrible 18 months we’ve all had, we’re giving this tour our all. I think it’ll be the best Westlife tour yet with some amazing surprises thrown in…

“We’ll be playing all of our greatest hits and some of our new songs which have gone down so well,” he tells MailOnline. “We’re also excited to be releasing our new album next month. Our last album, in 2019, went straight to No1 and that’s where we want to be again.”

The rest of the band add: “We are incredibly excited to announce news of The Wild Dreams Tour and to finally get back performing to all of our fans at the UK’s biggest arenas…

“After the last 18 months, this tour means more to us than any that we’ve ever done before. It will be a massive celebration and will bring us closer to our fans than ever before…
