OMD and Simple Minds’s Australia/New Zealand tour has been pushed back to next year.
Both groups were due to hit the road in November and December 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic they’ve delayed the jaunt by a year.
“We are sad that our Australia/New Zealand shows with Simple Minds can’t go ahead this year but we are pleased to announce that they have all been rescheduled for December 2021,” OMD wrote on Facebook.
“Tickets for the original dates remain valid,” they added.
“We can’t wait to finally return down under – a little later than planned but it will be so wonderful to finally play for you all!”
You can check out OMD’s show from London’s Hammersmith Apollo in 2019 here.
In a statement on Simple Minds’ page, Jim Kerr said: “The frustration of seeing yet more live shows being rescheduled is huge.
“We are determined to make even more effort for our fans in Australia and New Zealand.
“In the meantime we ask all of you to keep your tickets – and keep the faith,” he told fans. “We guarantee our live shows will be worth the extra wait… Thanks to all!”
