James Blunt has released Love Under Pressure as the lead single from his forthcoming greatest hits album ‘The Stars Beneath My Feet (2004-2021)’
The track is co-written by singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti and produced by LA songwriting duo Afterhrs, known for their work with One Direction and Maroon 5.
Building on an infectious piano driven hook, the tune displays a powerful vocal performance from James over hypnotic dance floor beats.
He says of the track: “Earlier this year during lockdown, I was lucky enough to have a Zoom writing session with the very talented Jack Savoretti.
“We had never worked together before, but our managers thought it might be a good idea to get us together to do some writing. I’m very pleased we did.
“Not only is Jack a great guy, but we wrote a banger of a single!”
The You’re Beautiful singer has compiled 17 years of hits for ‘The Stars Beneath My Feet (2004-2021)’, featuring his best-loved singles from debut release ‘Back to Bedlam’ through to 2019’s ‘Once Upon a Mind’.
Also included are four new tracks (Love Under Pressure, Unstoppable, Adrenaline and I Came For Love), as well as four exclusive live performances.
In addition to the 30-track LP, James is also hitting the road in 2022 for his UK Greatest Hits Tour, which runs through February. Tickets are on sale now.
‘The Stars Beneath My Feet (2004-2021)’ is out November 19 and available to pre-order now.
