Nicole Scherzinger is being sued by Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin after reportedly backing out of the group’s planned reunion tour.
According to papers filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, the pair came to a deal for a reunion tour and a new Pussycat Dolls business venture in late 2019.
While the Don’t Cha singer originally agreed to receive 49 per cent of potential earnings, Robin says Nicole now “refuses to participate in the tour” and has “demanded to renegotiate the terms” of their agreement.
She states the singer – who enjoyed a successful solo career after the group went on hiatus in 2010 – is now demanding 75 per cent of profits, in addition to calling the shots on the reunion.
The spat has led to Live Nation bosses demanding the return of $600,000 they reportedly paid the group, as the dates have still not been confirmed.
Pussycat Dolls released their comeback single React in 2020 and promoted the track in the UK and Australia.
They were due to hit the road with ‘The Pussycat Dolls’ Tour in spring 2020 but the jaunt was pushed numerous times amid the pandemic.
While it’s been suggested the trek could now take place in September 2022, firm dates for the tour have yet to be confirmed.
