Sophie Ellis-Bextor has contributed new disco classic While You’re Still Young to the soundtrack for the forthcoming ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ movie.
Backed by husband Richard Jones’ band The Feeling, the track is about living your best life and embracing your authentic self – both themes of the new Amazon Prime Video movie.
It’s written by Sophie and bandmember Dan Gillespie Sells, who has penned the majority of the soundtrack.
“I’m really thrilled to be a part of such a brilliant film and wonderful soundtrack,” says the Murder on the Dancefloor hitmaker.
“I adore ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ and it still gets me every time I watch it. It’s glorious.”
“It’s funny”, Dan muses. “A review of a Feeling album once mentioned disparagingly that it sounded like musical theatre. I took it as a compliment”.
The full soundtrack, also featuring Chaka Khan, Richard E. Grant, Becky Hill and more, is out September 10, a week before the movie hits Amazon Prime Video.
